Quite right. I think perhaps some of the more 'dumb' & hardcore techno is
easy to reproduce with just a synth, sequencer, MCS-303 and some time. RDJ's
stuff has quite a bit more layers to it, though. :)

Again, perhaps for basic 4-on-the-floor "get in da house!" techno, but not for
the complexities of RDJ's stuff, or even some of the other D'n'B stuff out
there. You need musical talent AND several weeks/months to learn advanced
MIDI programming to do that.
