you *could* also do me the courtesy of not taking my responses out of context. i wasn't claiming that gonzi was wrong when he suggested that bjork had an army of collaborators. i was suggesting that his anti-collaborative attitude was pretty amazingly stupid.

is it fair that bjork can afford to hire a real string section? perhaps not. does it make her music worse because she can? in your mind, yes. in my mind, nope. i guess we'll have to agree to disagree.

well, this happens on a daily basis in the music industry. it happened to me (ask me about the hardkiss brothers some day). you can take the moral high ground by only listening to "100% pure underground" records (if such a thing really exists) or you can just listen to what makes you happy. i decided a long time ago that i didn't care where it came from or who got shit on in the process of creating it. people love those hardkiss records that i worked on, and i'm glad they get off on it. i'm sorry my name isn't prominently featured but, you know, i was stupid and naive at the time. i've learned my lesson since then. there's already so little joy in the world, god forbid i would take it away from somebody.

i'm sorry, she is just not that big a star! if her new one doesn't sell, SHE GOES. i'm sure she can get re-signed somewhere else, but that doesn't change the fact that there is incredible pressure on her to "move the product".

yep. and of course they use that as an excuse not to pay her for her work.

uh huh. who is she trying to impress then? obviously not "us". and since the average yobbo doesn't give a squirt about massey or bell or plaid, where does that leave her? -- Jon Drukman jsd@gamespot.com SpotMedia Communications ...I was an infinitely hot and dense dot...
