There's one street that contains the best of the idm friendly shops in
Edinburgh. It's called Cockburn (pronounced coh-burn) Street and it's
just up from Waverly Station towards the Royal Mile.
You'll find 23rd Precinct, Underground Solution, and Fopp here. Apart
from that there are a few scattered examples (a store called Avalanche
just up from the Grassmarket specialises in unusual electronica and
industrial but it's stock isn't huge and there are the usual HMV Virgin
outlets).
