In an interview with a Dutch music writer, Trans Am acknowledged a Chicago group called Tortoise as a major influence. Apparently Tortoise's producer also produced the Surrender to the Night CD. Is anyone familiar with Tortoise? Is this another connection with Autechre or something entirely different?
