I am personally insulted by your bullshit generalization. I don't want to get into the CD vs. Vinyl argument, but I don't think you can speak for all the musicians making the music. One of our list members pointed out having to cut bass out of his track to get it on CD. Let's see, kF, do you not want me to hear your music because I don't own a turntable? How about the other musicians on the list? When I put tracks out, I'll make sure they exceed the limits of vinyl so it will only be on CD. I care enough about music to have a small DIGITAL workstation set up in my home consisting of a P166, 32MB RAM, 3 GB of SCSI HD space, a Pinnacle with DIGITAL I/O, a 12 channel 4 bus mixer, a MIDI Kat 3.5 (with 2 pole cats and a kick kat), an Alesis SR 16, and a Korg Prophecy, but I guess I'll be selling my music in department stores to others who don't care about music. I think CD's may have more 'personality' than you. I will not rely on compression algorithms to make my music sound good on vinyl only. If it doesn't sound good cranked up straight off of the hard drive, time to work on a new track. Travis L. Combel Project Engineer T.E.S.T. Inc. travis.l.combel@mindspring.com (504) 371-3065
