!) Has anyone heard the, um, I forget the name, something like The Land of the Fat or The Fiat of the Lame or The Fart of Liam? Comments? Reviews? How 'bout them thar lyrics? @) Did anyone see the Third Eye Foundation (Federation?)/Circuit Bible show? Does anyone know anything about Circuit Bible? I think the guy in it is named David Lidden or something that sounds similar (I just can't remember names tonight). #) I feel really stupid, but could someone give a concise and clear definition of "breakbeat?" Also, which tracks on Timeless, Torque, and the Squarepusher albums have the Amen break? Speaking of Squarepusher, I just heard the "Bum bum bum bum be dom" voice sample in some song, at about half the speed, something vaguely r+bish. $) Just got Deep Concentation, a comp of abstract hiphop/scratching on OM. Pretty good on first listen, artists include Cut Chemist, Prince Paul, X-Men, Latyrx, Peanut Butter Wolf, Wally and Swingsett. Although I haven't tried it yet, the second CD has a CD-ROM old skool beatbox/sequencer! %) I take back everything I said about DJ Spooky. I saw him spin on Saturday, and I was blown out of the water! First half of his set especially, he mixed it up, kept a groove going, but managed to defy every expectation I had. The second helf was was more beat oriented, and not as amazing, but still pretty good. I can't really comment on his technical skills, but they're good enough to let his ideas come blasting out of the speakers. OK, enough of my crap. Thanks much, Sam
