I just got it. The 12" is called 'Echoes' and has two tracks: 'Continental Drift version' and 'The Asymetrical Excursion'. Both are, imho, beautiful post-rock forays into jazz, and are versions of the same track. On the A there are sax, flute (I think.. ..though it may it may be an ocarina), possibly trumpet, and sitar solos over what sounds like an acoustic bass loop with a natural sounding, yet effected, drum pattern which shifts emphasis nicely. The solos come with their own scale structures and the sound undertones travel stylistically throughout. Side B is very similar but the solo instruments are largely looped and on the whole the drums have a ~slightly~ more driving edge to begin with, and then drop out to allow the layering of other instruments. All quite nice really. A little different from the full length as it sounds less live (?.. even though the album doesn't come across as a live album) and a bit more referential to 50's and 60's jazz.
