Sorry Chris, but your wrong about this one...I'm not talking about 'maintain a certain BPM', I'm talking about trainwrecks! Sure, you can mix any tempo stuff, but that doesn't mean it's going to sound good! There is a reason they make pitch controls! In my previously chosen profession, I was a online editor. In my spare time I made triptapes/visuals for raves. We use to mix 2 stereo pairs on the master, just like MTV is doing with amp, for a continuous musical mix...but, YOU JUST CANNOT MIX BEATS WITH INCOMPATIBLE BPMS! It sounds like shit! When those amp edits came up on my tv at home, everyone in the room cringed! Like I said, tennis shoes (plus nuts and bolts) in the dryer. not cool! It's just about impossible to beatmix with video gear...so they really should stay away from it. The solution is that you can mix the ambient bits (and they did do that on a few occasions).
