the original of 'persuasion' can be found on throbbing gristle's '20 jazz funk greats' cd (mute) , i dug it out recently and was suprised how contempory it all sounds , why a couple of the tracks could be afx himself! , tg were too prolific resulting in a lot of 'surplus to requirment' material being released which consisted of grating industrial noise with someone shouting over the top , but they also produced some class stuff which draws a straight line between them and the newskoolelectronica of paradinas, autechre skam,,rephlex etc...,the band split in 1981 cos they were pissed off with all the identikit 'black leather/cod - industrial' bands that appeared in their wake..a lesson to be learned... as henry rollins says 'get into it for yourselves' sm@4th world *cuttinge edge mail order* http;//ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/4thworld/ np - black dog - rue
