Ben Neill is the bomb. Oh, sorry, that doesn't really fit. He's a mutant trumpet player from the City (?). Think a trippy Mark Isham or Jon Hassell The reader may interpret to taste whether Mr. Neill is the mutant, the trumpet is mutant, or both. Even though Ben is absolutely unrelated to Jerry, and all the rumours are in fact true, he has also released a more ambienty record entitled "Green Machine". Beats are sparse on that record; focus is on dreamy synth waves and the potentially mutant trumpet-like objects wailing overhead like well-meaning bombers on a friendly bombing run. CDNow (www.cdnow.com) has this CD spinning on the listening station, so feel free to further bottleneck the Net by listening to the CD in its entirety on-line, as I did, in an act of criminal negligence. Not a plug, just a bug. Bombingly, 3 on now: Future Sound of Poltava remix of silence
