Reflecting on the Autechre show:
I was just thinking last night about how disconcerting it was to see
Autechre perfrom in a dingy bar on Santa Monica Blvd - all of their
equipment on a folding table like the kind they used to use in my grade
school when we'd do some art project. It's kind of like The Wizard of
Oz, when Dorothy pull pulls back the curtain and finds a little old man
working the gears of all those magical goings on. For those going to see
Autechre soon: brace yourselves for a worldview adjustment.
