Hey my IDM brothers and sisters, I know everyone talks about the 303 to death, but I need to ask a serious question. How was the 303 used when it first came to the market. ACID style music is a thing of the 90's (mostly). The 303 came out in the ealry 80's right? So in what ways did the buyers use it then? I remember seeing an explanation on analogue heaven that showed how to write an old Beatles tune using the 303/606. That is where I got interested in this. Are there any classic 80's pop tunes that I should look into to hear how the 303 was used prior to the whole tweak the thing like DRAX or PLASTIKMAN do today? I have a feeling that I may find something in the old breakdance/elektro stuff. You know like that Africa Bambatta. If any of you have any suggestions please reply. I was heavily into the old breakdance thing when I was a kid and I am just wondering if I miised something during the 80's. thanks, GMV500 videla@colorado.edu on now: morphogenetic fields (atom Heart)
