One hour after sending faxes of my list (mucho thanks for all the help) around to all the CD shops, I got a call. The owner knew me because I frequent the place to rumage through promo CDs. The thief had dumped them off there, the previous day, almost immediately after my place had been robbed. He said they were in good condition. They looked as if they had gone straight my my shelf into the box he brought them in with. As for his story, he said that he was in the service for a while and picked up this music in England. He got $100 for the whole lot. I didn't bother to ask who it was. The guy at the shop had asked for ID and the thief gave it to him. I just called the police department and told them that I had found the thief. The detective on the other side acted as if I was telling him that aliens were in my backyard. He said, "This never happens." In short, if I hadn't done anything to find my CDs, the police never would have. The best part of the story is who the thief is. Turns out that it is my damn drug dealing next-door neighbor. Needless to say, this guy has caused my neighborhood heavy grief by turning our little corner of town into a pharmacy. How he could have been so STUPID as to burglarize me is another story. So I've got my CDs back. My VCR has yet to show up. They are supposed to make an arrest today or at least sometime this week. I spent most of the weekend installing a burglar alarm and putting double keyed bolts on the doors. ObIDM: Juno Reactor's "Beyond the Infinite" is really fantastic stuff. How are the other releases on "Blue Room"?
