Warner does (or is it "did"?) have a tendency to stick with artists that
they really like (the Chills and the Flaming Lips, for two). Now if it was
Geffen, they might try to sue him for not making commercial enough music
(just ask Neil Young). I can't really believe that RDJ is actually making
more money at WBros than he did at indie labels, unless he is getting the
outrageous "no strings attached" signing bonus. From what I've read and
heard, moving to a major and making as much money as one did at an indie
usually necessitates increasing sales fourfold (at least). Then again, the
Warner stuff does tend to stay in print a bit longer... :)
