Hi, Goldie is probably the biggest and best-known British drum 'n' bass (intelligent/ambient/experimental jungle) producer right now. 'Timeless' entered the national album charts here at number 6 last week, and he's signed a very expensive deal with FFRR. He's a thirtysomething black ex-breakdancer/graffiti artis/raver who owns the Metalheadz label, the premier underground intelligent jungle label in the UK. I agree about the review of 'Timeless' it is absolutely superb. For stuff in a similar vein check A Guy Called Gerald, 4 Hero, Roni Size and DJ Krust, LTJ Bukem, Omni Trio, Aquarius, PFM, Spring Heel Jack, Photek, Jay Majik, Dillinja, Doc Scott, DJ Crystl, Lemon D, Global Communications' 'Chameleon' alias to name but a few. There are vast quantities of absolutely superb records by these people coming out of the British underground at a hell of a rate. This is the future...
