So...this saturday i got to see Mike Paradinas in SF. I went with handi
(john shiple) and tamara palmer...saw andy, greg earle, pete ashdown and
others... The sights were gorgeous - sailing around the city is one of the
best ways to see
it...Seems Mike was using 80% borrowed equipment which kept shorting on
him (especially a faulty effects pedal which kept making some nasty
sounds)...he became increasingly frustrated throughout the beginning, at
one point even smashing his mixer and stopping everything saying 'i quit
- i can't work with this'...we all applauded and after talking with his
girlfriend, he continued. the rest of his set was fantastic (anyone know
the really slow funky bit he played towards the end?)...I"m just glad i
got to go and check him out - it was definitely worth it...
