Neutron 9000 is Dominic Woosey. He has a CD on Recycle or Die (which I can't seem to get a hold of...) called "Straylight". As Neutron 9000. I know he has a remix of Sven Vath's "Rhythm of Life" which I think is really good. I only have two of the United Frequencies of Trance. Volume 5 is called "Brute Phorce" which is okay, and Volume 6, which is called "Glass Ceilings" which is better. I think that the United Frequencies of Trance originally started on the MFS label (which also includes Cosmic Baby - premonition fulfilled), but on the newer releases the MFS label is nowhere to be found. I think that these UFofT releases are all (well at least my two copies) comprised of Dominic Woosey + guest, but who knows. Does anyone know where i can get a hold of the other UFofT releases (1-4)? I think Silent has them through mail order, but I'm not sure... Jonathan eabu751@orion.oac.uci.edu

well, if i wasn't such a bonehead i could've answered the question myself and saved everyone a lot of worry. on the CD itself (which i wasn't looking at when i wrote the original letter cos it was actually in the player) all the tracks are credited to "D. Woosey" (except for the two Kuala Lumpur tracks which are "D. Woosey/H. Woosey").

i have that remix as well and i don't much like it (it doesn't hold a candle to the original), which is why i asked for thumbnail reviews...

what i'm looking at right now (volume 4) has no subtitle anywhere - although it does say "san francisco * london * tokyo * berlin * goa * athens" which strikes me as just a little misleading since I assume that Mssrs. Woosey can't be from *all* of these places at once...

well, V4 is on MFS (catalog MFS 7032-2), which is why i mentioned cosmic baby in the first place. Soooo, now that my interest in Mr Woosey's activities has been piqued, perhaps those of you out there with United Frequencies Of Trance Volume N where N != 4 could weigh in with quick reviews of the offerings... I picked up the "Tranceplant" CD5 on a whim about a year ago -- one of the smartest $2.50s I've ever spent. Woosey has some real potential. It'd be interesting to hear the more recent material. -- Lazlo (lazlo@unm.edu)
