This weekend I picked up the most recent Muslimgauze (forgot the name...
the cover is a photo of muslim women holding pistols at a woman's training
session for the PLO). The inner cover has a cut-out DAT cover and asks
you to send a 60min. DAT to receive a special series of tracks only
available in that format. Since the address is in the Netherlands, making
return postage a pain in the ass, I am wondering if anyone in the U.S.
has this DAT so you could dupe it for me? Or if you could send it to me
for duplication if you can't do DAT to DAT. I would be happy to cover any
shipping involved, plus load you up w/other goodies.
Musically, this CD is really wonderful. More on the middle-eastern music
side with effects, rather than that hard 4/4 beat you find in some of
their stuff. Not as "ambient" as Z'lum, but definitely one of the most
innovative of their CD's.
