Some rock band named Autechre has a new album out on Warp. It hits the shops on March 3rd but is available for download on Bleep (with artwork!) as of now. Limited edition version is 25 pounds which is like a gazillion dollars these days $US I'm gonna go see what all the fuss is. funny, i was right in making my first bleep.com purchase for the new chris clark... which is behaving oddly. it says it's preparing the zip, but the 'thinking bar' flashes from start to finish over and over again. it might be on its way, but it might not be. is this behavior typical? i know it said it might take almost half-an-hour.. maybe all the autechre listening is slowing things down... regardless idm is now officially the 'undead'

It was doing that when i just bought Quaristice a half hour ago - i ended up just downloading all the tracks individually - i think they're zip funtion must be knackered.

i listened to turningdragon three times on headphones today and my personal solution was to listen without 'vulcation veins' or 'truncation horn'.. tracks 2+3 respectively. to my ears these were failed experiments and taint how i view the rest of the album. good album, not the greatest thing on earth (as i think all three previous releases were), but very good. misses some of the sentimental moments that he let through on previous releases, but hey, he's dragon now! :>
