Anybody has heard the new Ambidextrous album - "Mess Media" yet? This week I was in Moscow and Nick presented me with this one - got to say it's amazing! Electro + techno, touch of melodic idm of his own... brilliant club and car music. btw. his previous "Post-Pop Workshop" was absolutely great as well - complex idm melodic and rhythmic soundscapes, cut up voice samples, his authentic warm nostalgic melodies.. he is getting better and better with each release! I imagine he said it because he doesn't like Orbital. Some people here don't. Some do. I like them... But it took me a while to like them. Funny he seems to like The Orb, though - I still don't like The Orb. Oh well, opinions are like boogers, everybody has a constant stream of them and everybody wears them on their sleeve. -Adam P Greg wrote:

I love Orbital, I just feel they've gradually headed down the tubes, post-Insides. Imho "The Altogether" was so bad to be almost unforgivable and the Blue Album's better moments sound like half-hearted attempts to recapture what used to make them the titans they are. They apparently felt the same and gave it up before more embarrasment, hence the "thank god" line.... chris ----- Original Message ----- From: "Greg" <cameron69@comcast.net> To: "Chris Henry" <hendawg@earcandymusic.nu> Cc: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Thursday, December 23, 2004 9:07 AM Subject: Re: [idm] top 10
