All things progress. And in order to do so, must cast off the shell it has outgrown. The only problem with the underground music society, is society. If something progresses so far that the general public notices, it devours it and spits out garbage for MTV to play with. Look at the true hardcore, metalcore scene. I remember Shadow's Fall, August Phrophecy, Everytime I Die, etc playing every week at the elk's lodges around NY. They were the most fun people i've ever met. Now. They're just puppets to amuse the masses and generate some well needed profit for bulbous recording companies. Nothing like the guys i used to know. In this i'm just saying: I am really thankful that IDM is low key. All the IDM music produced is for the most part unspoiled and true. Any ebb in the flow is most likely just a step in the progression fo the music and is very welcome. _________________________________________________________________ Check out Election 2004 for up-to-date election news, plus voter tools and more! http://special.msn.com/msn/election2004.armx --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
