Cex aka Rjyan Kidwell at 21 years old has already eclipsed many of his heroes in creative risk-taking and execution alone, not to mention shear accessibility. Layering acoustic guitars, hip-hop beats, dense bass, bells and witty, catchy-as-hell Fresh Prince meets Eminem meets Bright Eyes lyrical flows, Cex is just about the freshest mashing of genres ever unleashed. As unlikely as it seems to mix hip-hop party jams, warm IDM glitch and shades of emo and folk, he has unearthed a lost treasure; a heretofore undiscovered gold mine of brilliant beats, charming stories and witty rhymes to be unleashed at the Drunken Unicorn(MJQ) via a live band this time around. You've been warned.
Make Believe is last year?s touring version of Joan of Arc. After years of constant line-up changes, continually rearranging the songs in different stylistic guises, Joan of Arc translated their songs last year into rock-band language. After 3 months of touring solidified their playing together, they returned home and decided to follow this impulse and write new songs with a more aggressive approach. But they all knew it had to be something different than Joan of arc. For it to be represented as a true collaboration and reflect it?s totally different approach to songwriting and speak for itself it had to shake whatever connotations the band name Joan of arc had acquired. _____________________________________________________________________________

"Straight from Brooklyn, Japanther brings it to you straight up and raw, but catchy and beat junkied as hell...Japanther are 2 guys: Ian Vanek and Matt Reilly. These guys are one of the most unchained and next step bands that have come along in years. Japanther play rock music you move your stuff to...made up of drums, a bass guitar, and beats made on an MPC.....punk attitude, noise attitude, pop attitude, hip hop attitude...they're a garage band made up of all that they feel, and they're here to stake their claim is the next NYC thing....They play for their friends, the ragers, the bombers, the bike riders and the skaters..they love to have a good time.
Schematic Music Company recording artist, Hearts of Darknesses epileptic beats are pure placenta future pudding topped off with rancid whipped cream processed aggro vocals and guitar that will touch the Chrome/Renaldo and the Loaf fan in you. This is downloadable shareware punk rock at its finest. Frankie Musarra, AKA Hear ts of Darknesses, is one part composer, five parts spaz and a dope emcee to boot. Musarra once became so entangled in his mic cord during a performance that he fell and broke his collarbone."
Years of MTV crammed into a 12 track hyper-edited epic party jam. With all genres covered, Girl Talk cuts up endless top 40 sources at a breakneck pace to create the perfect A.D.D. club mix. Girl Talk's live show is energetic, rowdy, and non-stop fun. Girl Talk tours regularly in the U.S., and Gregg Gillis is becoming identified as the poster child of the glitch pop craze. Never mind the bootleg/mashup hype, this is the jump off, yo!
