Here's some more Mark Pritchard info that I found. Mark's third solo ep as "Use Of Weapons" is due out in November, it's called the Vicious Enemy Ep on Droppin' Science. There's another Vertigo 12" (Mark Pritchard & Danny Breaks) coming out...sometime. Mark has another Harmonic 33 Ep coming out. If you didn't pick up the first one, it is probably still around (on Alphabet Zoo). Mark is also working under the name "Trouble Man", he is releasing an album for Far Out Records. If you didn't pick up the last Trouble Man 12", get it! What's this stuff like? Anybody heard it? GC was so all over the place with their different releases, it's hard to tell what they'd be up to these days. Is any of it in the Short Stories veign? --- William Samuels <w_technoir@yahoo.com> wrote:

The Harmonic 33 material is trip hop. The prettiest track is Underwater Lady. Danny Breaks does some scratching on one of the tunes. Use Of Weapons material can be either trip hop or drum n bass. The last Use Of Weapons was called "Stan's Plan", both sides of the EP were awesome. A few people thought it sounded like Squarepusher because it was pretty funky and could sound like something he could do, if he skipped the drill n bass routine. The Trouble Man material is fairly upbeat and funky. Good stuff to mix in a broken beat set. The one Vertigo single that is out was harder than I was expecting from Mark Pritchard & Danny Breaks. Definitely interesting drum n bass. I'm not sure what the next Vertigo will sound like. The Harmonic 33 and Trouble Man singles have been out for a little over a month, so there's a decent chance you will find them in your local record shops. I like just about everything I have heard from Mark Pritchard on his own, I can't really say I like most of the stuff I have heard from Tom Middleton.

OOOOOPS !!! I stand corrected - please ignore my previous mail on the subject, because I was confusing the venerable Mr Pritchard with Tom Middleton (gone Housey). Sorry all - "my bad". Most of Mark P's recent output has been more in the House vein. I haven't heard this particular new release, so I can't comment, but it's probably very unlikely to be anything like "Short Stories". Most of Tom Middleton's recent output has been in the house vein. Most of Mark Pritchard's has been trip hop, drum n bass and stuff in between with broken beats. Check out his track on Freezone 6 or the Harmonic 33 or Use Of Weapons, it's not house. The Trouble Man single is a little more in a house tempo, but more broken. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Make a great connection at Yahoo! Troubleman - Time Out Of Mind [Far Out] I just wanted to say that Mark Pritchard's new Troubleman album is awesome! Just about everything that Mark Pritchard has ever released has scored major points in my book whether it is Jedi Knights, Global Communication, Link, Reload, Chaos & Julie Set, Chameleon, Harmonic 33 or any of his other projects. This album is a mixture of styles from broken beat to latin/brazilian rhythms...bossa nova. He proves once again that he can master any genre Now more on an idm tip I heard that Mark Pritchard is working on a Reload full-length for Warp in 2005 __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Sounds cool. Might have to check that out. And a new reload? I guess it won't be the same without the both of them, but still, I'd LOVE to hear some more of that. I always wished there had been more Global Comm stuff... On Mon, 21 Jun 2004 21:44:45 -0700 (PDT), William Samuels <w_technoir@yahoo.com> wrote:
