[http://www.staticbeats.com] Just wanted to say that this shoutcast channel is s1ck. Always passed it up because it was only 56Kbps - (is there a 128 stream)? Every time I want to get up from my desk something new comes on that is captivating. Do they ever sell StaticBeats compilations? Shimone is subbed - at least he was....drop him an email (it will be on his site somewhere). I've never heard of him selling comps, though. Doesn't surprise me that he's up to something good. :-) jeff At 10:00 AM 1/13/2003, David Seruyange wrote:

Thanks for the kind words. To answer your questions - The shoutcast stream is not 128k because it's both expensive and difficult to sustain that kind of bandwidth. At the moment, no compilations are being sold since I haven't a clue how to go about licensing the music. I am however working on an online store that I plan to open someday... In the meantime, you can tune in by hitting the webcast directly: http://www.staticbeats.com/modules.php?name=Webcast Or by checking out the newly introduced update archives: http://staticbeats.com/modules.php?name=Webcast_Update Also - I am *always* interested in new music and submissions from all of you out there in the IDM community so please, consider sending some demos my way and get 'em on the air ! Just listened to a track from Tejada on Static Beats called 'In Coach'. Amazing track, love it so I went to look for where / how it was released. http://www.discogs.com/artist/John_Tejada But the list is long and my question is so very short - anyone know which release this was on? I was also wondering if Tejada has been releasing music like this for a while (compared to his other stuff). Maybe I was mislead by seeing him a few times spinning but it was for the most part Detroitish type techno. Forgive me for any generalizations... That song is from his latest, daydreams in cold weather. It's a really good cd. His other cd that is more idmish is called 'the matrix of us'. It's excellent as well. The rest of it (that I've heard) is more housey. HTH, Brandon --- David Seruyange <idmkid@yahoo.com> wrote:

Speaking of John Tejada, he has three albums that should be coming out fairly soon. The album for Immigrant records has been done for a while, but hasn't been released yet. I think John said the album on Moods & Grooves should be the next one to be released, and he also has one on Playhouse coming out. So expect a flood of tunes from him soon. Last I heard he and Titonton also have a jungle track on Commercial Suicide. SCIDM http://home.earthlink.net/~efrans/scidm/ __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! It's on "Daydreams In Cold Weather", an album he released on Plug Research which is more melodic and downtempo than his usual techno sound. It's a great record. Incidentally, there is a "Now Playing" page for the webcast which will give you a listing of the currently playing and last 5 artist, album, title, length, year, label, URL, and more. Check it: http://www.staticbeats.com/modules.php?name=Webcast My greatest interest is to promote the music. As confirmed by others, the album is "Daydreams in Cold Weather" released on Plug Research: http://www.plugresearch.com/ Shimone/Justes http://www.staticbeats.com Electronic Music > Digital Culture ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Seruyange" <idmkid@yahoo.com> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Thursday, January 16, 2003 9:06 PM Subject: [idm] Tejada spotting
