Hi Robert, I don't know if this will be on interest to you, but since you mentioned A Certain Ratio there's a band in LA called Moving Units that seems to be creating quite a buzz. Jasper (Cytrax/Force Inc) has raved about them several times to me, and I've bumped into other people that have given similar positive comments. Here's a description I found of their single Moving Units - Moving Units. [Three One G] Formed with the idea of saving Los Angeles, Moving Units are now ready to excite and delight the whole world with thei debut five song Ep. Here to rescue you from the doldrums of monotonous punk rock, the units have been dazzling kids and creating a stir with their incredible live shows. They will surely win you over with the Gang Of Four meets Delta 5 meets E.S.G high-energy modernist disco with buttery hooks. For LA people that are interested they play Spaceland (Silverlake, CA) regularly. I think the next show is February 8th --- robert.merlak@ri.tel.hr wrote:

Right on! ACR is the greatest band of all time, To Each is a great start, Sextet is even better. Also their new 12" (fila Brazillia remixes) is fantastic. There's a Factory records mailing list where this stuff is discussed http://www.listen.to/factory has the info on that. We also get in to that on the Record Camp yahoo group : recordcamp-subscribe@yahoogroups.com sign up and say hello.
