By a little band called Broadcast. Yeah, it's not IDM by a longshot, but it's one of my all-time favorite bands. At ATP a couple ago, BoC and Broadcast was the reason I left my humble apt in New York for that wretched concentration camp known as Pontins. Any other Broadcast fans? bye. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Me! The song with the refrain 'come on, let's go' is an all-time favorite. In fact that whole album is great, if only-just-slightly too lowfi for me. I wish it had been produced with the maniacal attention to detail of, say, the Cardigan's Gran Turismo... ...but if you need a french-pop infusion run don't walk. aaron ghede@well.com http://www.quietamerican.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I do love Broadcast, I think they the type of band that will last for a long time, just like Yo La Tengo. And it was through this mailing list that someone pointed out their major influence, The United States of America, which were also really good. Unfortunatly I haven't saw them live yet... According to the Warp Records mailing list, they will have a contribution on a soundtrack called "Morvern Callar" with the song "You can fall". ----- Original Message ----- From: Reading, John <john.reading@us.didata.com> To: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Wednesday, September 04, 2002 10:23 PM Subject: [idm] OT: New album on Warp in Feb 2003 By a little band called Broadcast.
