Limewire is just awful for more independant releases. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I'd recommend Acquisition (http://www.xlife.org). It won't help much with selection (it's just another Gnutella client), but because it's written in Cocoa rather than Java, it's more stable and much friendlier on system resources than Limewire. You could also try Carracho (http://www.carracho.com), but it's better at finding programs than songs (not to mention most of the server admins are pretentious bastards). Cheers, John ps. I took a big gander at all the notes regarding soulseek for the osx platform... In short, too much bullshit. I think I will wait before I screw with these strange files...hate to see my g4 get a drop in its performance due to off-the-wall sub-solutions for file sharing. :-( --- kingfool <kingfool@optonline.net> wrote:

Well, according to the soulseek FAQ, it is possible to set it up for OSX. I tried setting it up on a friend's Mac, and found it to be far too difficult for my narrow, pc-only mind, but maybe you could figger it out, if you haven't already tried. -Zach --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Well, this obviously voids my previous suggestion (sorry, I get the digest so I miss stuff sometimes) , but I'm glad to see I was not the only one scared by all those instructions. -Zach --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
