I picked up some 99 minute audio cdrs at the store last week. That's the biggest capacity audio cdrs come right now. Problem is finding a burner that will handle them. My EZQuest driver burner sees it as an 80. The hhb stand alone unit also sees it as an 80. It's not a software thing. It's a firmware/burner thing. I'm hoping some advances in burner technology are right around the corner.

Nope. It's both a software and a hardware thing - those 90/99 minuted CDRs still say they're 80 minutes discs in their ATIP record; it's just nowadays you can urge quite a load of drives/cd recording programs to just continue burning when they're crossing the 80 minute mark - that gives you a few extra MB on regular discs and a whopping 10/19 minute bonus on the specially manufactured 90/99 min discs. (In fact, I'm currently burning a 90 min CDR... :)

Ummm... yes, they are - it's called "DVD+/-R[W]". 4,5 GB ain't that shabby. -- Kurt Bernhard Pruenner --- Haendelstrasse 17 --- 4020 Linz --- Austria .......It might be written "Mindfuck", but it's spelt "L-A-I-N"....... np: Pole - Silberfisch (3) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
