anyone heard the new DAT politics yet? i think it's great... really high pitched and nintendoesque and irritating, but in a good way. they've developed a remarkably uniform sound for themselves and they do more with it than i'd expect possible. anyway, i think it's good. you hear the songs and think... "oh... this sounds like... Yeah, it's most certainly great! I think all their stuff is fantastic, but this new one is a step above! They've been able to introduce vocals very nicely while exploring ideas that popped up in previous releases. Highly recommended for anyone who likes 80's electro/ rock and general wierdness! DS

It reminds me a lot Felix Kubin, who contributes in one of the tracks. It's realy a surprise to see DAT Politics doing music that has similarities with bands like Chicks on Speed. The voices are blended with the electronics in a way that reminds me Mouse on Mars. It's a good record, but it's ironic: this is their best record yet, however it's also the one where they go away from the type of sounds that made them unique. I don't thik I'd call anything by Tone rec "post-rock". I'd say it had more in common with minimal techno (but much more unusual)!
