This sucks. Planet-mu is a very good label and I used
that board a lot. One of the few places that artists
actually engage with their audience in an open forum.
This may be a silly question, but was it really that
bad there? I would check that board a few times a
week and even though the occasional person might get
out of line, I didn't see any major abuse. Of course
the webmaster would obviously be a better judge of
that.
In fact now that I think about it, that was a place I
got a lot of useful information and there was a good
amount of artist/listener feedback. The board seemed
to be a vital part of the planet mu website. I mean,
it isn't like they update the actual site on a prompt
and regular basis for goodness sake.
Isn't shutting the whole thing down a bit of an over
reaction?
