people in each location can become part of the show in
an attempt to rebuild some joy with music in areas hit by war & strife

Pirate TV 'Can DU' Tour of Hungary, former Yugoslavia and Italy
The Future Trust tour of 2001 began on the 10th of August in
Ljubljanc the Capital of Slovenia & travels through many countries
of former Yugoslavia, visting Dubrovnik, Mostar and Sarajevo to join
a major concert in Belgrade at the 25,000 capacity Celtic fortress of
Kalemegdan astride the Rivers Danube and Sava.
This is the largest-ever intervention of international musicians
passing through a post-war zone with the intention of allowing music
to act as a catalyst for reconciliation & the return of the pleasure
principle on a massive scale. At the same time the tour will draw
attention to Future Trust 'Can DU' campaign to seek the abolition on
the uses of depleted uranium in war zones.
The Belgrade concert, in association with Radio B92, will include
artists from throughout former Yugoslavia joining with artists from
across the world.
The heart of the Pirate TV tour is an interactive multimedia circus
incorporating the audio and visual talents of the piratetv.net crew.
The tour is not only DJ-based in format -- it will also incorporate
live performances and loadsa VJamming. Arriving in town a day or two
before each public performance the crew will film their workshops and
collaborations with local youth which will then appear within hours
on the six stage screens timed to the music. Future Trust's film
on depleted uranium campaign will also be VJAMMed.
The tour crew will drop in at local radio stations to play
exclusive DJ sets. Matt Black (Coldcut) will be among the
piratetv.net crew.
