i think you got my rant all wrong. i was dead serious when i demanded an apology. maybe its just me, but confiled really sounds like they are having a luagh at everyone who thinks this record is cool. i wonder if they have a surprise release up there sleaves to confuse us all. and ofcourse, this surprise release(if any) would blow the sock off of all of us) Fingers crossed... teardropb

I don't know why you're that disappointed. On first listen there were indeed some tracks that kind of left me thinking "whaaa?", but there were also some tracks that I thought were some of Ae's best yet, by FAR. (such as Cfern and Uviol) And it's extremely dark! their darkest cd i think since Chiastic. But there's enough continuity and texture and atmosphere that's forcing me to listen to it again, and I'm liking it more and more. I mean, first time I heard Cichlisuite, I was furious, and thought the group and gone into the toilet. Since then, it's one of my favorites. LP5 was the same. As for EP7, I'm still kinda disappointed, half the record could have been tossed, but it's not exactly an album, it's an EP with extra stuff (if EP7 was just the last four tracks, I'd be satisfied as all hell). Quantiy over quality there. As for Confield, I don't even think it's as glitchy and pretentious as LP5 was. It's MUCH more textural. -mark teardropb . wrote: > i think you got my rant all wrong. > i was dead serious when i demanded an apology. maybe its just me, but > confiled really sounds like they are having a luagh at everyone who > thinks this record is cool. > > i wonder if they have a surprise release up there sleaves to confuse > us all. and ofcourse, this surprise release(if any) would blow the > sock off of all of us) > > Fingers crossed... > > teardropb > --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

hmmmmmmmm, my brain must be wired up some other way than most peeps on this list. my fav ae release by far is LP5, Anvil Vapre and Envane, the rest of the back catalogue of ae is mindblowing but these 3 are my faves. anyway, confield is still not growing on me. good luck to you guys regards, teardropb _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
