to sum up:
if you like tortoise you will like savath and savalas ... which is not to
say it's simply derivative of tortoise. there is definitely influence
there, sometimes (i think) it gets in the way a little bit, but it's good
enough to stand on its own merit for sure.
i'm a big fan of everything i've heard by scott herren (savath+savalas,
delarosa+asora, prefuse73, communications project) ... savath is
definitely his most "easy listening" release so far.
definitely pick it up, especially if you are ready to hear a record that
bites somebody other than autechre's style :)
