Personally, I love it. Nice and noisy, non repetative, non melodic. Not quite sure what it is doing on Warp, will probably put off the traditional Warp crowd (I've mainly seen negative reviews of it, while those who would enjoy it have probably not known about it). Also, I finally got the new Noodles 12". Superior. Fun, yet without sacrificing repeated listenability for jokes. (Unlike recent V/Vm releases which seem to have lost their ability to turn the joke into something more, and have instead opted for the cheap and easy shot.) Makes me long for the full second volume of Death of Cool. JJTar. --- Peace Hugs and Unity Jason J. Tar W. W. J. D? (What would Jason Do?) It is all of these things, though I don't think it's as cohesive and effective as the recent forays of Squarepusher into similar territory. There are a lot of records that would put off the "traditional Warp crowd" (like the Edgardo Canton CD on Nepless, which anyone with a bent towards abstract electronics should check out), but the only advantage of this one is that it's actually on Warp. Pretty disappointing after the stunning treatments on the Super_collider album. -rob --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
