autechre said in an interview that they don't really write an album, but they
basically just compile a few songs from the past year or whatever. on an
album like chiastic slide, that seems hard to believe. the dirtiness of the
tracks on it sew it together perfectly (even though a few songs on it get on
my nerves). i'd be interested to hear the non-dirty tracks they created
during that point in time. it's be a great sister album to it, they could
call it "organic slime" or something. hehe
