someone over at hyperreal should create a new e-mail option: 01.: individual e-mails 02.: digests *03.: digests AND individual e-mails FROM LANCE ...that would make everything a LOT easier...as people [i] wouldn.t have to run through deleting EVERYTHING...but about two e-mails/day or reading through the entire digest LOOKING through EVERYTHING...TRYING to find SOMETHING meaningful. they [i] could just choose digest...and read it whenever they [i] had the time...and then get lance.s e-mails in addition...and smile knowing that there were at least SOME pertinent news out there... OR...better yet...lance, start your own list!! lander;. _________________________________________________________________________ ---Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. actually, i think the digest is for the non-reader. after being on the digest for over a year and a half, and essentially being in lurk, i transferred over to "normal", and the list has been much more active for me. not only can i contribute (which i'm sure some of you are upset over), but i can also read the list much more effectively. rather than waiting to get a digest that i skim through and delete, i get individual emails, that i can keep if they have some really good info, or delete after scanning through them. on digest, i was stuck scrolling past lists of fav live bands, lists of now playing, and radio sets - things that don't particularly interest me. the discussions were usually spread apart over a couple days, harder to follow than the emails due to the formatting, and i couldn't respond. plus, although i get, perhaps, 100 emails from this list per day, i check my email more than once every week - and when i haven't checked my email in 4 days, due to a vacation, i've only had like 300-400 messages anyways, and that's not too bad; it's just text. i say that for those interested in trying out digest - don't bother. it's nice, but "normal" is much easier to follow, delete, and use. my 43kr /derek besides, i don't usually read lance's emails. he's full of great information that's helpful to a lot of people, but i'm not particularly interested in tracklistings and label info. i like his reviews, although he seems to like everything :) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
