afaik this is still out, and there's certainly no reason to pay US$20 for it. i've seen it around; try some of the better mailorder shops. also, as per other high profile fax releases (Air 2, Dreamfish, Dark Side of the Moog), it's probably a likely candidate for release on the World label (World releases are not deleted and are available more or less continuously). in related news, the second volume of Vrs-Mbnt-Pcs, released last week, is easily on my top of the year list (and better than the first volume, though that's good as well). the best abstract ambient i've heard in a long, long time, and certainly the best thing Fax has released in years. simple, subtle, rapturous. sc --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Yes, I'd agree with that. His NovaMute album was very unimpressive but these two are marvellous. adam --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Couldn't agree more! The first track on VRS-MBNT-PCS 1 sends shivers down my spine every time I listen to it!! I just heard the first track of the second cd on the http://rtrfm.ii.net radio show and it's amazing!!! I really need that cd! The best abstract ambient I've heard since SAW2 and CH-Vox imho. Vrs-Mbnt-Pcs 1 and 2 are a collection of (previously) unreleased works that Jochem produced during his seminal Plus 8 - G-Spot album all the way up to Public Energy No.1. Personally, it is hard to separate the two Fax releases, both are excellent in content; they could have been released as a 2CD set and we would'nt know the difference. However, I do think Dtx - the first track of no.2 is the best. Anyone who caught Ambient Zone on http://rtrfm.ii.net would have been able to check out most of the album. This is indeed, way up the Fax clasics list! I will be featuring the best in ambient idm over the last decade for the last two Sundays of this month (19/12 and 26/12) on the show. Expect to hear some rarities, including Spacetime Continuum's- Flurescence, Yennek - Serena X, From Within 1 & 2 on Fax, 777, Legion of Green Men vs Himadri and others. Stay tuned. ---------- so..if you haven't seen it out at your local record shop, and your favorite mailorder shops are out of it..or you don't have good resources for this sort of thing..check out my auction. there's no reserve, so for $20 its yours. mike --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
