What have these two been up to in the past... jeez, I dunno, couple of years? :-) I'm just listening to the closing track of The Private Lightning Six's 'They Came Down', 'Have a Cigar, My Friend!' and got to wondering. I checked out the first of their Restaurant Trax 12"s back whenever that came out and had basically forgotten about them since. It's a pity, really, cos I really liked the Sluts & Strings album and at least some of the Showroom Recordings 12"s. I should clarify I also didn't dislike the Restaurant Trax 12" I heard, it just wasn't the greatest thing of theirs, IMO. Actually Pulsinger & Tunakan have been out there just low key. Here are the recent productions that I am aware of... Out this week is a cd by Pulsinger & Tunakan called Swan Lake Remixed on the Volksoper label. On this cd Tchaikovsky's original music was torn apart, filtered and newly layered for a dance performance at the Vienna Opera. This cd features the 'highlights' from over two hours of material deconstructed and mixed by Patrick Pulsinger & E. Tunakan for this performance. There was a new Sluts & Strings ep released a month or two ago on the German Sender label. The ep is called 'Summerbreeze' and contained two tracks, the original and a remix. Pulsinger did tracks for the Cheap Allstars comp ep on Cheap and for Plug Reseach's Voices In My Lunchbox comp series. Pulsinger also recently ldid a remix for a trance outfit called Gintare on the Parlaphone label but I've not heard that one myself. -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Hmm.. has anyone heard this? If the music was very torn apart (ie. just sounded like Pulsinger and Tunakan) I might be interested, but I'm more than a little hesitant to check out "updated" classical music. I knee-jerk rather badly, thinking of people like Tomita...

Is this along the lines of 'Carerra'? That's my favourite release of theirs, but I wasn't so keen on the earlier Sluts & Strings material. Thanks for the info, Michael np.
