Just heard an amazing track by Lamb; a mixture of pure jazz and unbelievable beats, and some digital trickery. Does anyone know if this album has been released, and if so, where i should find it? For some odd reason i never picked up the other album with the naked boy & girl on the inside cover. I really need to find me some Lamb; it put me in a great mood, even in while driving in the rain... Lamb is incrediable - get the first st album - definitely. The new single, B-line, is great as well. cool jazzy beats - quite up tempo for Lamb. the new album is supposed to be out in late June i think.

The June release date is for the States - it's already out in most of the world (including Canada, where Pietro is). I don't like it *quite* as much as the first album - not as much progression as I was hoping, and too many tracks fall into the same "let's fuck up the vocals" rut that ruined the second Portishead record for me. But it's still pretty damn good, all in all. And if you have the chance to see them live (I expect they'll hit North America this summer) - GO!! They are outstanding. When they did "Gorecki", I nearly wept. Greg

I've heard only their original Goreski track. I liked it much. Is everything else similar or it is a standout?

Fear of Fours was released in the UK on 5/17 and will be released in the US on 7/13. Highly recommended. The band is touring the UK and Europe before coming to the US for their summer '99 tour as part of Lilith Fair. Their lineup in Brighton last week was andy & lou plus bass, trumpet, and drums. The drummer is supposed to be something else, though he only plays on about half the tunes.

Lamb's new site has just gone up in the last couple of weeks... http://cottonwool.com/ it's got .au and .ra of all the tracks, video for B-line and info on the new single and tours. I went to see them at the Shepherd's Bush Empire last friday, absolutely blew the crowd away. The quiet looking Andy Barlow was going nuts and Lou's voice really carried over to the live setting ..... plus ..... double base, trumpet, and drummer to complete a memorable evening. DO check them out, although they don't appear to have any US dates yet.

They're scheduled to appear on the side stage at Lilith Fair during the first week of August (shows in Canandaigua NY, Mansfield MA, Hartford CT, and NYC). I'd assume that a proper tour of the rest of the continent will be wrapped around that. I should HOPE so, anyway. Greg
