Dopplereffekt - Sterilization Mix 1 & 2 (Dataphysix) Some bizarre electro from these boys of Detroit. The a-side starts off with a robotic voice talking about sterilizing the population. The sound of an ignition? weedwacker? saw? start up, and the track goes off into funky Detroit electro. The b-side's mix isn't much different from the a-side, except that the minimal synth loop kicks in about 30 seconds sooner, and the narrative doesn't last as long. It's a great EP, but the only problem is that it's about five minutes long, total. But, again, if you're in the U.S. and want to support your domestic artists, it's only about six dollars. .jeff / chris. .do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. \-. you may both be wrong .-/

FYI: on the vinyl version of Dave Clarke presents electro boogie vol 2. you get 1 of the mixes of sterlization <i assume the side A version but I do not know for sure>. The vinyl version is completely unmixed; that is you get the whole song. The cd verision is a continuous DJ mix. But, the vinyl is missing a few tracks. Here is the tracklisting for the vinyl: Dopplereffekt - sterilization transits of tone - warfare beats anthony rother - describe reality technasia - crosswalk oliver dodd - janitorial bandsaw world class wreckin' crew - surgery shiver - doctor break the kinights of the turntable - fresh mess <jam up your radio> the unkown dj - 808 beats kt-19941 - face your fate -daniel

Essentially, $6 for one 2 1/2 min. track. I've never felt more ripped off. - Charles __________________________________________________________ Techno 12"s & CDs for sale: http://members.aol.com/perv303/forsale.html __________________________________________________________

Um, if you shop around, it's more like $4, which is about what you'll pay for a 7" on Merge or Teenbeat or something, so what's the big deal? We're not talking WEA/BMG here -- the artist sure isn't getting rich... -d.w. Maybe $4 if you are a shop buying directly from a a distributor or label. Good luck finding a new (i.e. not used) domestic (U.S.) 12" for less than $6 if you are a regular customer! __________________________________________ E r i c F r a n s :: efrans@earthlink.net [cellular] http://home.earthlink.net/~efrans [so-cal idm] http://home.earthlink.net/~efrans/scidm [si-{cut}.db] http://home.earthlink.net/~efrans/benford on: Freddy Fresh - Accidentally Classic [Harthouse] }Dave Walker wrote: } }Um, if you shop around, it's more like $4, which is }about what you'll pay for a 7" on Merge }or Teenbeat or something, so what's }the big deal?
