Let me second that. I bought it on a whim and jeez am I glad I did. One of the best comps I've heard this year- the Jega and Boards of Canada tracks are great (anyone know what the braille on the cover is saying?). The last track Wayne's talking about is a tape of the ADAM'S FAMILY theme done up with a beat. I agree that it beats out the 0161 comp too. I tried to decipher it, but after the first few letters, it didn't seem to be in Braille anymore (either the spacing was way off or they were just randomly dotting it). If I remember right, it started off SKA.... If someone else can confirm it's real Braille and spells something, I'd also appreciate the info... cya brian

It's definitely in Braille. I deciphered it to "SKAMPLER SR 9708", using the Braille description at http://dots.physics.orst.edu/gs_index.html. The only cell that doesn't make sense to me is the first of the middle word, with dots 5 and 6. I'm not sure what "SR 9708" means, but it's also stamped on the underside of the CD (in the inner ring). --- Brent Sawatzky bsawatzky@radss.com RADSS Technologies, Inc.

Think about this [and I'm just getting this from reading your post -- I've never owned any skampler anything or much IDM for that matter.] _S_kampler _R_ecords _08_(August) 19_97_ ... just a thought [common sense?] /peter

SR = Silent Records, the US licensee. Hey. I'm listening to Maxwell House's "II" LP on Peacefrog. I'm absolutely stunned. Can anyone point me to like recordings? g.

It's the catalog number of the CD: "SR" for Silent Records (the label that released the comp), "97" for the year, and "08" 'cause it's their eighth release of the year. Greg
