Head scratcher: Alan Perry picked up a copy of AB Vol. 2 while I was in england (for more than twice as much :) ). Anyway, he claims his copy has 4 tracks, not 3. He says the person he bought it from told him that early copies of the disc have the extra track. I've never heard of this anywhere and the last I spoke with Alan he hadn't had a chance to listen to it. I'm sure he'll let us know what's up. As for the additional tracks, they are quite awesome thumpers in the very early Aphex tradition. Quite simple and minimal, but they really rock it hard. /""'' /"'RESH Live and Direct from the G-Spot Orange County, California, USA

Well, it's some of the most intelligent, and almost funkiest stuff RDJ's done. Seek it out at any cost. And if you do find it, listen to it at both speeds... Steve

Erm, if I'm not mistaken, AB2 is also known as the didgeridoo single. Just to clear up some confusion -- I could picture the punters' massive freaking out and saying "Ahh!!! Another RDJ release that I just found out about -- got to get it at all costs... Anyone want my gold fillings for trade??" This scenario happens all too often, so to save you some gold fillings, I'm sure that AB2 is the Didgeridoo single (Which is quite good, BTW). Well James, you'd better start pulling those molars because you are absolutely incorrect. The "Analog Bubblebath Vol 2" e.p. is something *completely* different than that of the "Digeridoo" 12" (on R&S). Yes, it does feature the exact same version of "Digeridoo" that is on everything else, but that's where the similarity ends. The other two tracks featured on this release are indeed EXCLUSIVE. As far as a review goes, I can't write one worth a shit but I can say that the two `untitled' songs are most definitely vintage-era AFX (which should be played at both speeds - the slower the better). I can however give discographical info for all of you poor trainspotters out there:

thanks for clearing that up. As I said originally, I'm probably wrong, since there's many an AFX single I don't have. Thanks again. bye now if anyone here doesn't like "Altered States", they should be shot. Ron Trent is the bomb!!!!!

To which I might add that the first of the two untitled cuts shows a VAGUE resemblance to Hedphelym from SAW 1; the screechy noises in the back appear in both tracks. And my copy has the stamp on the A side. Maarten onnow: Portion Control - I Staggered Mentally

Dah! (Slapping head in ape-like fashion..) AB Vol. 2 is not the Digeridoo 12' on R&S. AB Vol. 2 is a much rarer release on Rabbit City records that was released a month earlier. It contains 3 tracks: Digeridoo, plus 2 untitled tracks that are available nowhere else. Only 1000 of these where pressed and they are probably the most difficult RDJ record to find (not counting the enigmatic Q-chastic). /""'' /"'RESH Live and Direct from the G-Spot Orange County, California, USA
