Amen, brother. Heck, when I joined the list three or four years ago, the IDM homepage specifically said IDM is a mailing list, not a genre. Making that distinction sure would eliminate some of the clutter that's been around here lately. Go on and say it, guys, you like techno and hip hop. Maybe just a small subset of the two, but if you're going to name names, you might as well do it right. Now, back to the music... anyone know how Isan's Digitalis EP compares to Salamander? I was thinking of picking up the former, but I'm a bit tight on money right now. One other unrelated question--could some of the San Francisco list members drop me an email (off-list) mentioning your favorite music stores. I'll be on a business trip there next month and would like to find some pleasure too.
