Hi,

I remember seeing Technova supporting Eat Static and being very impressed. Have Technova got any LPs out? My local store said that Techno Animal is Technova. Are they fibbing? If not, is Techno Animal's 2xCD any good? Thanks, Ewan.

Techno Animal is Justin Broadrick of the seminal grindcore band Godflesh, along with Kevin Martin of God. I don't know anything about Technova but I can tell you that Techno Animal != Technova. As for the latest Techno Animal, I haven't heard it. But the first one was one of the most inventive, original albums I've ever bought. But that was back before my conversion (to a Former Industrialist With a Clue[tm]) was complete. - Greg

A tribal techno kind of affair (as could be agthered from the name). both sides are long tracks (over 15mins?) and make nice late night listening! :) martin Hydrogen Dukebox Mo' Wax Org Records Sabres Of Paradise |------------------------------------------------------------------| |THE | The finest | http://www.warwick.ac.uk/~esvtk/ | | SPOON | discographies|------------------------------------| | WEB | on the Web(?)| e-mail : esvtk@csv.warwick.ac.uk | |------------------------------------------------------------------| Done Lying Down Gunshot Eskimos & Egypt Sleeper

In case people haven't put two and two together based on another message someone else sent, 'Tantric Steps' is the second album. If I remember rightly the first album was self-titled and I was seriously impressed. It had quite a variety of stuff including what sounded like an unsequenced piano peice at the end. Unfortunately I have no clues as to what the label was (hey, I'm not even sure of the title!), but I'm sure some wise soul (or Hyper-cool DJ Dude :) can fill in the details. There is a David Harrow CD titled _Technova_ which I really like, but I've seen at least one person say they didn't think much of it, so YMMV. Anyway, details are: Shock Records (Australia) CD 009 (1994) (fax: 61 3 482 3873) It also says "More: Babylon Business Inc. fax 071-431 5504." Hope this helps, Larry
