Been a while since I heard it but basically it is an engineeer from the BBC radio sound studios (I think the guy who did the Dr. Who theme song and soundtrack) along with a few of his friends. Very interesting stuff ranging from the amsuing to the sublime to the ridiculous to the frightening. Some of it made me a think a bit of early Hawkwind. But IDM? I doubt it. OBIDM...... picked up the new Eat Static, actually manufactured in Camnda by Attic records....wow! IDM being pressed in Canada? What next? On now: Eat Static "the brain" JG John C.S. wow... i was just wondering to myself where i got the penchant for listening to strange electronic music, and i realized that one of the foremost influences on me was hearing the dr. who theme every weekday at 7 for about 3 years of my early childhood (thank you, pbs!). and i was just gonna ask if anyone knew of any similar aged electronic weirdness that reminded them of the dr who theme. anyone? nick

One of my favorites is "Chase" from the soundtrack of Midnight Express, its by Giorgio Moroder, who IMHO is the MAN.
