well, i approached this with a very open mind and i was quite frankly appalled.

this was so annoying!! i wanted to shoot the CD player with a shotgun just in case it decided to make any more horrible noises like this one.

this one pissed me off even more because pretty much every single sound in it is sampled from "Bounty Killers" by Depth Charge, which is a FAR superior track. overall, i was NOT impressed and i would recommend that jungle/breaks/whatever NEVER be mentioned on this list again lest I go insane with a chainsaw in downtown Palo Alto. And you wouldn't want a bloodbath like that on your conscience, would you? In happier news - Daum Bentley (Freaky Chakra) is working on a jungle remix of the track he did with Tony Halliday... Maybe that will change my mind... Name: Jon Email: jsd@cyborganic.com Web: http://cyborganic.com/~jsd

well, if you don't like ragga or dancehall you are not going to like this track. :P

well, jon, i think that is shutting a door you perhaps shouldn't but 'law of the jungle' is certainly not something i could ever see you listening too (judging on the stuff you praise such as FSoL and the stuff you make). at least you gave it a shot. why not try omni trio or perhaps 4 hero's 'parallel universe'... i mean, what with the rumour of FSoL working with dego (4 hero) and all. dego's studio is even located right next to FSoL's as well. in fact, i recommend people try any record on the reinforced label. some of the 'hip hop' stuff done by tek 9 makes a lot of this trip hop look pathetic. and 4 hero's electro and early hip hop influences sparkle thru...some brilliant music work. and as dego himself said, "for every good jungle record there are 10 crap ones".... and i feel inclined to agree with that... i bet there is some stuff out there that even you would like.
