glitch is a prominent IDM sub genre.
as for proper classification... due to expansive and de-centralized
distribution channels, one may not know that they are in "france" when
shopping for music. therefore, the idea of
knowing the french word for rose and knowing that boards of canada make IDM
certainaly are relevant....
