As someone who lives in the state where that incident occurred, yes, you're
right. Officials don't take too kindly to any sort of fire or pyrotechnics
at all lately. The state has clamped down on restaurants, hotels, bed and
breakfasts, offices. Basically any building outside of private residences
have been getting all sorts of inspections and citations. Many places are
breaking the bank trying to install sprinkler systems and stay on top of the
new regulations.
Good for the fire safety companies. :)
