Ah I see it as kind of a trade off. The more spam that's sent around, the
better the spam blocking programs become. Because it's a race between the spam
senders and the spam blockers, to see which one can keep ahead. I just notcied
aswell, I haven't seen a dramatic increase in my level of spam since I joined
this list. Not that I post to it much or anything, but still, once is enough.

99.9% of bandwidth is used irrelevantly, spam is merely a small subset of
