SoundCollector is a superfantastic bound zine that comes with CD for $7.50
and covers oddity and indie mostly-american underground stuff... really
fantastic writing and articles. interesting for anyone i would say.
also, Yeti is in a similar vein and is well worth hunting down. both only
come out a few times per year (these days, maybe only once).
and Thumb doesn't come out too often, but when it does, it rocks and is
beautiful. e*rock puts that jammy together.
if you're looking for non-music zines the only way to get into it is to go
to the zine shop and waste a couple hours...
